The AFAS was founded in 1872 and is one of France's oldest scientific associations.

Its goal is not merely to disseminate knowledge in language that people on the street understand: it is to build a genuine dialogue between the scientific community and the general public, as part of the large-scale debate on the evolution of society today.

French Physics Society (SFP)
The French Physics Society is a state-approved association aiming to spread the study of Physics in France. The primary role is to represent the community of French physicists in government ministries and other organizations or scientific societies. It likewise promotes physical science targeting the general public through Sciences en Fête, a science festival, for example. One of its main initiatives involves organizing its Olympiads of Physics.

University of knowledge (UTLS)
UTLS is a French Ministry of Education initiative to disseminate the latest scientific developments.
The EADS Foundation helped UTLS by playing a part in a programme that involved posting the 600 conferences that this University had hosted, online. That project ultimately provided a full multimedia encyclopaedia on the Internet.

Aerotop
The EADS Foundation contributed to efforts to organize the air and space show in Poitou-Charentes, and in particular to organize a day for young students to visit the show and find out about what we do.
