Institute for Higher Scientific Studies

The Institute for Higher Scientific Studies (“Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques” – IHÉS) is an institute of advanced research in mathematics, theoretical physics and other science that could be attached to it. IHES is a state-approved foundation since 1981.

Objective : To invite experienced researchers from academic institutions around the world, so that they can continue their research, in an open, friendly atmosphere, free from all teaching or administrative tasks.

The Foundation awarded a budget: 400,000 euros by year.

The EADS Foundation is committed in the Chern fund set up by IHES with two objectives: intensify scientific discussion between China and France and promote scientific research with no limited programs and increase the visibility of the IHES in the Chinese scientific community.
