EADS Group Corporate Foundation launch its annual call for research projects, the purpose of which is to support and promote high level research projects covering exploratory and original subjects. Ten projects are selected. The allocated budget by project reached in average 150,000 euros.
To date, the EADS Corporate Foundation has supported over 110 upstream research projects.

This project focuses on human movement and encompasses three synergistic realms of research: Natural movement, in particular locomotion and sensory-motor control, applying original methods from the engineering sciences and involving close cooperation between Neurosciences teams at LPPA (a perception and action physiology lab in Paris) and CERCO (a brain and cognition centre in Toulouse) teams to identify human sensory-motor movement...

CARS is a project that involves engineering high-level controls for robotic surgery systems. One such system, da Vinci®, is a laparoscopy surgery assistant robot system that controls an endoscope with a camera and surgical instruments...

The project falls within the context of neuroprosthetics and more specifically of implanted functional electrical stimulation (FES)...

The purpose of the project is model the conflict detection activity of air traffic controllers based on information available on a radar screen. In other terms, how do air traffic controllers diagnose the possibility of collision between two aircraft...

This project involves using commercial aircraft (A340s) to monitor air quality, based on Mozaic datasets and the 2003 heat wave...

The purpose of this project is to develop synthetic methods that do not require the use of an organic solvent, either during the reaction itself, or during the purification step...

Our final goal is to built a functionnal bio-fuel cell using enzymes as redox catalysts at the anode and cathode. To achieve this goal the key points are a high catalitic activity of these enzimes at high ethanol concentrations, broad pH and temperature variations and their stability at the interface with the electrodes...

This project led to the development of technology enabling laser control of microfluidic droplets (a few nanolitres in volume). These droplets are dealt with as chemical reactors that could be used to miniaturise, automate and integrate operations that are currently carried out in laboratories, in a manner analogous to that whereby IT operations were miniaturised when electronic chips were invented...

The challenge is to improve the stability of hydrogenated amorphous silicon solar cells. The final objective is to find the optimal experimental conditions to produce polymorphous solar cells with the highest efficiency and lowest efficiency loss...

The project aims at developing polymer-based photonic devices. These devices are for example optical modulators, or microresonator-based components. They are destined to optical telecommunications but also can be used for sensing systems. The main objective is to design, fabricate and characterize prototypes of these components in order to achieve perspective industrial developments. The application possibilities are also underlined...
